Jo Huddleston speaks to the hearts of her readers, offering spiritual tonic and hope. Her nonfiction readers feel she writes with them in mind and her fiction presents gritty reality in storytelling.
After writing four published nonfiction books and one coauthored e-book, Jo has completed her first novel, Caney Creek, a historical romance. She is currently shopping the manuscript to agents and will give updates on this website of the progress of her novel.
Her more than 200 articles and short stories have appeared in over fifty different Christian and general publications, including Guideposts and Decision. Jo's devotions are included in eight anthologies and she wrote devotions on assignment and freelance for the following daily devotionals: Devotions, Open Windows, Pathways to God, The Quiet Hour, The Secret Place and The Upper Room.
Jo wrote an inspirational newspaper column for seven years. At writers' conferences she has taught workshops on "Writing Short Fiction" and "Coauthoring."
She is a contributing online writer for ChristianDevotions.us, an international email daily devotional. She is a staff writer for the print magazine, The Full Spirit.
Jo holds a B.A. degree cum laude from Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tennessee, with a major in Spanish and minors in English and Speech. She holds a M.Ed. degree from Mississippi State University in School Guidance Counseling.
